Meet the Clinical Team at Hampstead Heath Pharmacy
Everyday NHS pharmacy services — Pharmacy First, blood pressure monitoring, contraception, flu & COVID-19 vaccinations — alongside specialist private clinics in travel medicine, vaccinations, weight management and blood testing. All from one independent team at 35 South End Road, Hampstead, NW3.
Meet Mahyar Saremi — Superintendent Pharmacist & Specialist Pharmacist Prescriber
Mahyar is one of very few pharmacists in the UK to hold full membership of the Faculty of Travel Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MFTM RCPS) alongside the Certificate in Travel Health (CTH®) from the International Society of Travel Medicine — the most recognised credentials for pre-travel consultations.

View GPhC Registration →An independent prescriber, Mahyar founded the travel clinic at Hampstead Heath Pharmacy in 2014 and established all three of its core clinical services from the ground up. Today he leads our travel health consultations, private vaccination clinic, blood testing service and medical weight management programme — combining specialist clinical experience with current evidence in travel medicine, immunisation and chronic disease management, with time taken in every consultation to understand your circumstances rather than work from a script.
Mahyar trained at Liverpool John Moores University and completed his clinical training at Homerton Hospital, with subsequent roles at the Royal Free Hospital and as a Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist with NHS North West London. Until May 2024, he served as Borough Lead Pharmacist for the NHS NW London Integrated Care Board and Lead Formulary Pharmacist for the NW London Integrated Formulary — roles that shape regional NHS prescribing decisions. He has also completed the Core Learning Path with the Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education (SCOPE).
Jatish Shelat
As our day-to-day Pharmacist-in-Charge, Jatish brings experience from both major pharmacy chains and independent community pharmacy. He is your first point of contact for prescriptions, advice and walk-in pharmacy services.
Jatish is accredited to provide the NHS Pharmacy First service, Blood Pressure Monitoring (NHS & private), the Pharmacy Contraception Service, and NHS flu & COVID-19 vaccinations — keeping essential primary care available right on your doorstep. See full details →
View GPhC Registration →Kamlesh Patel
Leading Hampstead Heath Pharmacy for over 43 years, Kamlesh has been at the heart of this community since long before clinical pharmacy looked anything like it does today. Beyond our doorstep, he has also been supplying pharmaceutical and medical products to an established, large medical clinic on Harley Street for many years.
That breadth of experience — from neighbourhood pharmacy to specialist clinic supply — has earned him deep respect among colleagues and patients alike, and his standards quietly shape the way we work here, from how we greet you at the counter to how we choose every product we stock.
Karishma Patel
A registered osteopath with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), Karishma runs our private clinic operations and curates our skincare and retail range — bringing a clinician's eye to every product we choose to stock.
She is the person who makes sure your appointment runs smoothly from the moment you book to your follow-up, and the one most likely to greet you when you arrive.
Danae Marshall
Danae coordinates our weight-management clinic, managing orders and repeat prescriptions with the in-house pharmacy team and handling your day-to-day questions — with any clinical answers provided under Mahyar's supervision.
Drawing on her APPI Pilates training, she also offers guidance on muscle-preserving exercise during weight loss, particularly for patients managing injuries or physical limitations. One-to-one Pilates sessions are available privately, as a separately priced service.
