Your local NHS and private pharmacy in Hampstead is located directly across from Hampstead Heath Station. We provide prescription dispensing and a comprehensive range of services for the NW3 community, including Hampstead, Belsize Park, Gospel Oak, and Highgate.
NHS Pharmacy Services We Provide:
NHS Pharmacy First service
Our pharmacy can support you with seven common illnesses (see below for details) without the need for a GP appointment.
During consultations with a pharmacist, people with symptoms suggestive of these seven conditions will be provided with advice and, where clinically necessary, supplied with a prescription-only treatment or a pharmacy-only medicine.
NHS Flu & COVID-19 Vaccination Service
For all eligible people, including pregnant women.
Pharmacy Contraception Service
If you’re already taking oral contraception (the pill) or looking for your first supply, you can arrange a confidential consultation with us.
This service is free for everyone, and you don’t need to be registered with a GP.
We also provide the free NHS Emergency Hormonal Contraception service.
Hypertension Case-Finding Service
- We are offering free NHS blood pressure checks to people aged 40 and over with no appointment necessary.
- This involves around 10-15 minutes in the pharmacy consultation room with pharmacy staff. Following this, you may be invited to take home a blood pressure monitor that measures your blood pressure as you go about your daily life.

- Healthy Living Pharmacies
- Provision of a broad range of health promotion interventions through community pharmacies to meet local need, improving the health and well-being of the local population and helping to reduce health inequalities.
- Support for self-care
- We manage minor ailments and common conditions by providing advice and, where appropriate, the sale of medicines, including referrals from NHS 111.
- Repeat Dispensing and electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD)
- We dispense repeat dispensing prescriptions (batch prescriptions) issued by a general practice
- We ensure that each repeat supply is required; and
- We seek to ascertain whether there is any reason for the patient to be referred back to their general practice.
- Dispensing appliances (e.g. stoma)
- Signposting
- NHS England will provide us with lists of care and support providers in the area. We help people who ask for assistance by directing them to the most appropriate source.
- Public health (promotion of healthy lifestyles)
- Each financial year, we are required to participate in up to six health campaigns at the request of NHS England. This generally involves the display and distribution of leaflets provided by NHS England; see the details below for further information.
- In addition, we are required to undertake prescription-linked interventions on significant areas of public health concern, such as encouraging smoking cessation
